Manchester United have asked Harry Kane to push for a move as they look to land the Tottenham Hotspur striker at the club.

According to The Sun, Manchester United have made a last-ditch effort to acquire the services of Harry Kane. The Red Devils have been interested in the 29-year-old striker for a while now. But with Tottenham Hotspur not ready to sell, they have asked the player for help. The experienced striker will cost £100 million this summer.

Erik ten Hag has done a great job since taking charge of Manchester United. But, there are quite a few areas that he wants to strengthen before heading into next season. Signing a new forward is one of his priorities heading into next season.

The former Ajax manager wants to sign someone who can support Marcus Rashford in front of goal. And, Ten Hag believes his international teammate Harry Kane could do wonders for them. But Manchester United have hesitated to pay £100 million to part ways with him.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker is amongst the best forwards in world football and his arrival will surely bolster their attack. But, it is not easy to acquire him from Spurs as their chairman Daniel Levy is in no mood to sell his most valuable asset.

Manchester United have been pushing to sign him of late, but Tottenham are in no mood to listen to offers for their record goalscorer. While there is only one year left in his contract, Spurs are still keen on keeping hold of their star striker.

They are ready to risk losing out on him for free as they believe he will pen down an extension ahead of next season. As a result, they consider him non-transferable. But a move this summer will cost at least £100 million.

Manchester United want to acquire his services. But with Spurs not ready to sell, they want the player to push for a move. The Red Devils want the England international to push for a move to Old Trafford. They want Kane to make a move with a transfer request or a statement about his desire to leave.

They are ready to break the bank to acquire him but need the support of the player. The Red Devils do not want the situation to drag on further, they want it sorted as soon as possible. And, if Kane does not push for a move away, they will shift their focus towards alternative options like Rasmus Hojlund.
