Barcelona will soon present a bid worth €18 million to sign Marcelo Brozovic, who they have offered a deal worth €7 million per year.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (h/t FC Inter News), Barcelona will look to beat Al Nassr to Marcelo Brozovic in the summer transfer window. And they have offered the 30-year-old a €7 million-a-year contract. In addition, the Catalan giants are lining up a bid worth €18 million to present to Inter Milan.

Marcelo Brozovic has been one of the best midfielders in Serie A since joining Inter Milan from Dinamo Zagreb. The Croat started his work at San Siro at the onset of the 2016/17 season. And he has gone from strength to strength in the last seven years, playing a pivotal role in Inter’s rise in Serie A.

The 30-year-old has also been an instrumental performer for his national side for a long time. Meanwhile, the experienced midfielder has turned out 330 times thus far for Inter, chipping in with 31 goals and 43 assists. But Brozovic’s Inter Milan future is uncertain amid interest from Barcelona and Al Nassr.

The Croatian international has been on Barcelona’s radar for a long time. And it is time for the Blaugrana to launch the offensive for the player, considering Sergio Busquets is departing this summer. While the former Spanish international has not been a consistent performer in the last few years, his exit will still leave a gaping hole in the Barcelona midfield.

Several midfielders have thus emerged on Barcelona’s radar, with Brozovic’s name also featuring on the wishlist. But recent reports have claimed that the Catalan giants do not want to meet Inter Milan’s valuation. However, they have not stepped up their efforts to sign the 30-year-old this summer.

The newly-crowned La Liga champions have offered a €7 million-a-year deal to the Croat. In addition, Barcelona will soon present a bid worth €18 million to Inter Milan. But with Al Nassr also offering €18 million to secure Brozovic’s services, the story is not over yet.

A lot will depend on Brozovic’s decision over his next destination. While Al Nassr can potentially offer much higher wages than Barcelona, the lure of playing in the UEFA Champions League can level things up for the Blaugrana. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how much Inter will demand to part ways with the 30-year-old.
