Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of 23-year-old Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Juventus as they look to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis. The 23-year-old has managed to impress the people at Spurs during his loan spell, and they want to keep him at the club.
Kulusevski came through the ranks at Atalanta and made quite a name for himself. His impressive performances attracted the attention of Juventus, who acquired his services back in the winter of 2020. While he did showcase glimpses of his talent during his time with the Old Lady, the 23-year-old failed to establish himself as a first-team regular.
In the winter of 2022, Tottenham came calling and managed to sign him on an 18-month loan deal which included a buy option of around €35 million. He has since featured in 57 matches and has been involved in 23 goals. As far as the 2022/23 season is concerned, the 23-year-old had 10 goal contributions in his 37 outings.
While his numbers are average, his performances were consistent. And, on the back of his impressive performances, Spurs want to make the deal a permanent one but they are not ready to trigger the buy option.

The North London club want to lower the €35 million buy option and have been negotiating with Juventus for a while now. Both clubs have been trying to find a solution and as per Romano, the talks are advancing well.
Spurs are very close to agreeing on a deal with the Old Lady and the final fee for the deal will be around €30 million. The London club’s new manager Ange Postecoglou wants Kulusevski at his disposal and as per the latest report, his wish will be fulfilled.

Postecoglou believes the Sweden international’s ability on the ball, his pace and dribbling could help their cause. The Australian manager likes to have an attacking approach and the 23-year-old could be a deadly weapon in his arsenal. As a result, Spurs’ interest in extending his stay is quite understandable.
