Manchester United ask to be kept informed about Moises Caicedo

Manchester United are keen on acquiring the services of 21-year-old

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are interested in the services of Moises Caicedo. The 21-year-old midfielder has made quite a name for himself over the past 18 months, and he is on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe.

Caicedo joined Brighton back in the winter of 2021, but he really burst onto the scene in the 2022/23 season. The Ecuadorian international made a total of 43 appearances for Brighton and was also involved in two goals.

He was a rock in front of the defenders and hardly put a foot wrong throughout the season. His impressive performances attracted a lot of attention from Arsenal, and they even tried to acquire him in the winter. But, their bid was rejected.

However, the Gunners have not lost hope, and the are still monitoring his situation. There are a few other clubs that would also love to have him in their ranks ahead of next season. One of them are Manchester United.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old penned down a new deal just after the end of the winter window, and his new contract runs until the summer of 2027. While rumours suggested that the new deal will leave no room for a potential move in the summer, the reality is that Brighton are open to the idea of letting him for a sizeable price tag.

Roberto De Zerbi has promised the player that they will let him leave if they receive the right price. While Manchester United’s priority is to push for Chelsea’s Mason Mount, they have also kept their eyes on Caicedo. The Red Devils have been interested in the 21-year-old for a while now. And, they have asked to be kept informed about the situation of one of the most sought-after players.

If they fail to land the Chelsea midfielder, Manchester United might go all out to sign the Brighton midfielder Caicedo. While the two players have completely different playing styles, the arrival of either of them will help bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad and help him take the next step.
