Liverpool will soon launch the offensive to sign Gabri Veiga, a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid whose release clause is worth €40 million.
According to reputed Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Gabri Veiga is the next midfield target for Liverpool. And the Reds are ready to intensify their efforts to sign the Celta Vigo midfielder, whose release clause is worth €40 million. The Spaniard is also a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid, among others.
Gabri Veiga has become one of the best midfielders in La Liga following a breakthrough 2022/23 campaign with Celta Vigo. The 21-year-old took some time to establish a foothold at the Balaidos. But he has not looked back since becoming a regular for the Galician club this past season.
The Spanish midfielder amassed 11 goals and four assists in 40 appearances for Celta Vigo this term. And Veiga’s contributions ultimately helped Celta Vigo avoid relegation from La Liga. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs. And Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Chelsea are among his prospective suitors.
The Spaniard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for several months. And Los Blancos considered him an alternative to Jude Bellingham for a long time. But with the Englishman on the verge of joining Real Madrid, it is unclear how Veiga fits into the scheme of things. Nonetheless, he remains on the Spanish club’s radar this summer.

As for Liverpool, the Reds are in the market for multiple midfielders. They are losing James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as free agents this summer. And Alexis Mac Allister has set the ball rolling for Liverpool. Meanwhile, recent reports have claimed they are ready to pay a little over €40 million to clinch the deal.
Rudy Galetti has now added that Liverpool will soon launch the offensive to sign the Celta Vigo midfielder. But Chelsea might have something to say on the matter. The Blues are also in the thick of the action. And amid uncertainties surrounding Mason Mount, Veiga has emerged as the ideal candidate to replace the Englishman at Chelsea.
