Gabri Veiga is a target for Barcelona and Liverpool. And a report from The Guardian claims that Chelsea have now entered the race to sign the Celta Vigo midfielder, whose release clause is worth €40 million.

The Blues need to add more creativity to their midfield, and the Celta Vigo youngster could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition for them. Veiga racked up 11 goals and 4 assists to his name across all competitions this season, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class player.

The 21-year-old is likely to be tempted to move to the Premier League this summer. But it remains to be seen whether Chelsea can secure his services amid interest from clubs like Liverpool and Barcelona.

The Blues had a disappointing Premier League campaign, and they finished 12th in the league table. They will be looking to bounce back strongly next term and need to bring in the right reinforcements in order to do well.
