West Ham United are leading the race to sign Harvey Barnes, who is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
According to The Guardian, West Ham United are keen on having Harvey Barnes in their ranks ahead of next season. The 25-year-old forward is expected to part ways with Leicester City post their relegation. And quite a few English clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, keen on acquiring his services.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in the Foxes’ forward. But as per the report, they are behind West Ham United in the race for his signatures. Barnes has come through the ranks at Leicester City and made quite a name for himself.
He has established himself as a key player over the past few seasons. And the Englishman scored 13 goals and provided one assist in 34 Premier League appearances. But with Leicester City going down to the EFL Championship, it seems his time at the club is about to end.
The England international will push for a move away from the club as he might not want to feature in the second division. Meanwhile, the report suggest the Foxes will let him leave for £40 million. Meanwhile, West Ham are keen on acquiring the 25-year-old. They are all set to sell Declan Rice for over £100 million. And post that, they want to invest a sum of that cash to bolster the left wing.
They want to sign someone who has experience playing in the Premier League and can help them post the departure of their club captain. While the Foxes want around £40 million, the Hammers will look to pen down a deal around the £30 million mark. However, West Ham are not alone in the race for his signatures. Tottenham and Newcastle United will make life difficult for West Ham.
Tottenham want to bolster their attack and would love to have Barnes at their disposal. They have a lot of quality in their attack. But it has not worked out in the 2022/23 season. While Harry Kane has scored quite a few goals, others have not managed to do much and adding the 25-year-old will surely help their cause.

As a result, they are keen on having Barnes in their ranks. While Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in his services, they are behind West Ham at this point in time who have already held talks to sign him.
