Real Madrid table three-year contract to Dani Ceballos

Dani Ceballos reportedly has a new three-year contract on his table, with Real Madrid also offering him improved wages.

According to a report by Spanish outlet AS, Dani Ceballos has the opportunity to remain at Real Madrid. The Merengues have proposed a three-year contract to the 26-year-old Spanish international. And they are willing to offer him improved wages to keep him beyond the summer transfer window.

Dani Ceballos has endured a rollercoaster ride since joining Real Madrid from Real Betis in July 2017. The Spaniard arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu as a prodigious young prospect after showing promise early in his professional career. But he has been in and out of the starting lineup at Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old also spent two years at Arsenal between 2019 and 2021 when it appeared that his Real Madrid stint was going nowhere. But Ceballos blew hot and cold at the Emirates, especially in his second season at the Emirates. The player returned to Real Madrid in 2021, only for a long-term ankle injury to hamper him.

The Spanish international considered leaving Real Madrid last summer before staying put at the Bernabeu. And he has enjoyed arguably his best season thus far with Real Madrid. He managed one goal and nine assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.

But Ceballos’s contract with Real Madrid will run out in a little over three weeks. And that has left Los Blancos in a spot of bother, despite the impending arrival of Jude Bellingham. Meanwhile, the player has popped up on the radars of several clubs heading into the summer transfer window.

Real Betis and Aston Villa are among the Spaniard’s suitors. And widespread reports have claimed that he is considering leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. But the Merengues have submitted a three-year contract to Ceballos, hoping to keep hold of him. In addition, Real Madrid will also hike his wages.

But renewing terms with Real Madrid might not be a sensible decision. With Bellingham on the verge of joining, six midfielders might be ahead of Ceballos in the pecking order. So it will be interesting to see if the 26-year-old Spanish international signs the three-year contract.
