Aston Villa are interested in acquiring the services of Real Madrid duo Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos ahead of next season.

According to Santi Aouna, Aston Villa want to incorporate Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos into their ranks. Unai Emery is keen on bolstering his squad and wants to have the Real Madrid duo at his disposal. Meanwhile, the Villans have already held talks with Dani Ceballos.

Villa were in all sorts of trouble before they appointed Unai Emery as their manager. The Spanish manager has managed to turn around their fortunes in no time. Aston Villa were struggling for survival in the first half of the season but they recovered big time and are currently 7th in the league with a game to go.

Emery’s team have already started planning for the upcoming transfer window. They want to add a lot more quality to their ranks as they look to push for a top-four finish next season. Villa want to bolster their midfield as well as their attack. And, they are plotting a double raid on Real Madrid for the Spanish duo.

Aston Villa have Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos on their radar. Both of their contracts expire in the summer and they could be available as free agents. As a result, Villa have a great opportunity to land the Real Madrid duo.

Ceballos has been used as a substitute for the majority of the season. Initially, he hardly got game time. But of late, the 26-year-old midfielder has been given an extended run in the team, and he has delivered. In his 42 appearances, the Spanish midfielder has been on the pitch for under 1,700 minutes and has nine goal contributions.

Aston Villa believe he could take their midfield to the next level. And, the fact that Ceballos has experience of playing in the Premier League will make it easy for him to settle in. The Villans have already made an offer for the 26-year-old and they await his response.

Asensio could be a great addition to their ranks. The 27-year-old forward might not have featured as a regular for Los Blancos. But he has certainly made a great impact in the limited game time that he has had. The Spain international has been involved in 48 matches. He has been on the pitch for just over 1,800 minutes and has 20 goal contributions.

While Aston Villa are also keen on having the Spain international in their ranks, it might not be that easy as the 27-year-old’s priority is to pen down a new deal with Los Blancos. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are expected to push for the renewal of both players given their recent performances. As a result, it will be interesting to see if Aston Villa can secure the signatures of either of them.
