Tottenham Hotspur are considering pushing for the services of 28-year-old Dinamo Zagreb shot-stopper Dominik Livakovic.

According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring a new goalkeeper ahead of next season. And they are considering a potential summer move for Dominik Livakovic.

The Croatian goalkeeper had a sensational FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign last year and could be the new Tottenham goalkeeper heading into next season. He helped his nation secure a third-place finish in the global event.

Livakovic came through the ranks at NK Zagreb before joining Dinamo Zagreb back in the summer of 2015. He slowly established himself as their number one and has become the mainstay of their first team of late.

As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the 28-year-old has 13 clean sheets in his 49 appearances. While his stats for the 2022/23 season are average, the Croatian international did showcase his quality at the World Cup last year.

His contract at the Croatian club ends in the summer of 2024. With the 28-year-old entering the final year of his contract, he could be available in the upcoming transfer window. Dinamo Zagreb might not risk losing him for free next summer.

They value the 28-year-old around £10 million, a fee that the majority of the European clubs can fancy. Meanwhile, Tottenham are one of the clubs interested in the Croatian shot-stopper’s services. And, they have been monitoring him for a while now.

Spurs are looking for a new goalkeeper, and they believe it is time to move on from Hugo Lloris, who has been their number one for quite a few years now. The 36-year-old was not at his best in the recently-concluded season; he made quite a few errors and missed a handful of games due to injury.

Even the veteran goalkeeper is considering his future and has hinted at a possible move elsewhere. With Lloris’s future uncertain, acquiring the services of the 28-year-old will surely be a great move. However, he is not the priority target for Tottenham.

Spurs’ top transfer target is David Raya and they are also monitoring Everton’s Jordan Pickford. One thing is certain; Tottenham will push for a new keeper and it will be interesting to see who starts the next season as their new number one.
