Liverpool have once again held talks with the agents of the French midfield duo of Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are now keen on acquiring the services of Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram after winning the race for the signatures of Alexis Mac Allister. The Merseyside club are keen on having the French duo in their ranks as they look to complete their midfield overhaul.
Both Thuram and Kone have been in sensational form of late and have been on the radar of the English club for a while now.
Thuram came up the ranks at AS Monaco before joining OGC Nice back in the summer of 2019. The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons. And, he has been on the radar of quite a few clubs.
Despite having a contract with the club until the summer of 2025, the defensive midfielder is expected to be on the move in the summer. Similar is the situation of Kone who has been putting in impressive shifts at after coming up the ranks at Toulouse.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been closely following the duo. They had already held talks with their agents in the recent past and have once again contacted both the players’ entourage as they look to land the French duo at the club.
The Merseyside club have held talks about what the official proposal to the respective clubs should be and on top of that, they have asked for time as the club is busy completing the deal of Mac Allister who is joining them from Brighton.
Jurgen Klopp’s plan is to complete an overhaul in the centre of the park ahead of next season. He is looking to bring in multiple midfielders with different qualities. The German boss has already acquired Mac Allister who is attacking in nature.
He now wants to add a defensive-minded midfielder and Thuram seems to be the perfect fit for the club. The Germa boss is also keen on having someone who is versatile in nature and gives him legs. And, Kone seems to fit perfectly into that role.
Klopp is desperate to have the French duo in his ranks and it will be interesting to see if he can land them at the club.
