Mason Mount has been linked with a summer move away from Chelsea, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United keen.

Mason Mount will be out of contract in the summer of 2024, and he has not signed an extension with Chelsea yet. A report from Daily Telegraph claims that the England international has now agreed personal terms with Manchester United regarding a summer transfer. He is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool.

Manchester United are looking to sign the 24-year-old midfielder in the coming weeks. But it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a reasonable fee with Chelsea. Mount has just 12 months left on his current contract. So the Red Devils will be hoping to sign him for a knockdown price.

The midfielder has been linked with clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal as well. However, Chelsea are reportedly demanding a sum of around £75 million for the player. So Arsenal and Liverpool have decided to back out of the transfer race. Manchester United certainly have the financial resources to pay the asking price. So it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Mount has been a reliable performer in the Premier League for Chelsea, and he could be a key asset for Manchester United going forward. The Red Devils need to add more creativity and depth in the middle of the park, and Mount would be a superb acquisition. He could be the ideal long-term replacement for Christian Eriksen, who is in his twilight years.

The 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder is versatile enough to operate in a number of positions. And his ability to execute multiple roles will be an added bonus for the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag has done well to nurture talented young players during his time at Old Trafford and Ajax. He could play a key role in the development of Mount.

The England international is far from his peak and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. Chelsea will not want to lose a top-class Academy graduate like Mount. But they are powerless to stop him from leaving because of his contract situation. The 24-year-old has always been a boyhood Chelsea fan. But it seems that he is ready to pursue a new adventure now.
