Chelsea have established contacts with the agents of 23-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of a potential transfer.
According to Rudy Galetti via GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea are keen on having Dusan Vlahovic in their ranks ahead of next season. The Blues’ priority heading into the upcoming transfer window is to sign a new forward and they could go all out to acquire the Juventus forward who is one of their targets.
Vlahovic came through the ranks at Partizan before joining Fiorentina. He came into the limelight while playing for the Florence-based club. His performances attracted a lot of attention and Juventus managed to acquire his services in the winter of 2022.
While the 23-year-old might not have taken the world by storm post his move to the Italian giants, he has surely done his bit. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the Serbian international has been involved in 42 matches and has 18 goal contributions.
Vlahovic has found the back of the net on 14 occasions and has four assists to his name as well. While his contract at Juventus runs until the summer of 2026, he could be on the move in the summer.
The 23-year-old forward is not officially on the transfer market but the Old Lady are ready to listen to possible offers. And, as per reports, they will let him leave for a fee close to £70 million.
Galetti said: “There are other names on the list including Dusan Vlahovic.
“The chances that the striker will leave Juventus at the end of the season are increasingly growing also due to the extra football situation of the Bianconeri.
“Juventus have already set the price tag to let him go at around €80m (close to £70m).
“At the moment, there has been no contact between the two clubs, but only between Chelsea and Vlahovic’s agents.”
Mauricio Pochettino recently signed the contract to become the new Chelsea boss and he is keen on bolstering their attack. The Blues have struggled for goals in the 2022-23 season and they want to sort the situation out ahead of next season.
While their priority is to push for the services of Victor Osimhen, they are well aware of the level of competition for his services and the price they would have to pay. As a result, they might shift their focus completely on Vlahovic.
The Blues might not have had any discussion with Juventus as of now. But, they have already had talks with his agents as they look to land the 23-year-old at the club. With Chelsea going all out for the Serbian international, it will be interesting to see if they manage to land him at the club ahead of next season.
