Juventus star striker Dusan Vlahovic is open to the idea of joining Premier League club Chelsea ahead of next season.
According to Rudy Galetti via GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea are keen on having Dusan Vlahovic in their ranks. The Blues are desperate to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and have the Juventus striker on their radar. Even Vlahovic is open to the idea of joining the Blues.
The 23-year-old striker came through the ranks at Partizan before joining Fiorentina in the summer of 2018. Vlahovic went from strength to strength while playing for the Florence-based club. His impressive performances attracted the attention of Juventus who acquired his services in the winter of 2022.
The Serbian international was signed to fill the big boots of Cristiano Ronaldo. While he has done a decent job, he hasn’t really produced the results that were expected from him. Injuries haven’t helped his cause and he hasn’t really got going.
The 23-year-old has featured in 42 matches in the ongoing season and has been involved in 18 goals. He has found the back of the net on just 14 occasions so far.
While Vlahovic might not have lived up to the lofty expectations at Juventus, he still remains one of the most sought-after strikers in world football. Chelsea have been interested in his services for a while now and could go all in for him in the upcoming transfer window.
Rudy Galetti said: “The Blues could make a concrete move for the Serbian, especially because the next manager, [Mauricio] Pochettino, considers Dušan the ideal striker for his tactical idea.
“The player likes the destination and reaching an agreement on personal terms wouldn’t be a problem. Let’s keep an eye also on Bayern Munich, who have Vlahović at the top of their list along with Harry Kane.”
The Blues have struggled in front of goal in the ongoing season. They have only managed 37 goals in as many outings in the Premier League. Despite having world-class forwards, they have struggled to score goals. And, their primary target heading into the transfer market is to sign a new number nine.
They have been interested in Vlahovic for a while now. And, even the player is open to the idea of joining the Blues according to Galetti. The Serbian international would love to join Chelsea and their next manager Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the player.
His arrival will surely solve their goal-scoring issue and as per reports, the Blues have already made an €80 million offer for him. With Chelsea struggling for goals, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land him at the club.
