Chelsea and Manchester United can acquire the services of Inter Milan star striker Lautaro Martinez for £69.5 million.

According to a report by Football Insider, Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on having Lautaro Martinez in their ranks. The 25-year-old Argentine forward has been the leader of Inter Milan’s attack for a few years now and his performances have attracted a lot of attention of late.

Martinez joined Inter back in the summer of 2018 from Racing Club. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the Italian giants. He started off slowly but has surely picked up the pace in the past few seasons.

The 25-year-old forward has had an exceptional season so far. He has been involved in 52 matches and has 35 goal contributions to his name. He has found the back of the net on 25 occasions and also has 10 assists to his name.

His exceptional performances have guided them to the Champions League final where they will square up against Manchester City. He has been on the radar of multiple teams for a while now. And, it seems there could be a bidding war for his services in the summer.

While his contract at Inter runs until the summer of 2026, he could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window. Inter are well aware of the interest in his services and would only let him leave for a fee of £69.5 million.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on having him in their ranks. Both the team are in search of an out-and-out goal scorer. And, they believe the 25-year-old Argentine could help their cause.

The Blues are all set to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their new boss. And, the former Spurs manager is a big admirer of the Argentine World Cup winner and wants him at the club ahead of next season. Manchester United are also looking to sign a world-class goal scorer as they are yet to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

While their priority is to sign Harry Kane, they are keeping a close eye on Martinez. Acquiring Kane’s services might not be that easy. As a result, they could push for the 25-year-old. With United and Chelsea set to battle it out for his services, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
