Brighton & Hove Albion are all set to battle it out with Manchester United for the services of Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.
According to Football Insider, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United are keen on acquiring the services of Davide Frattesi. The 23-year-old Sassuolo midfielder has been the mainstay of his team in the ongoing season, and there is a lot of interest in his services.
Frattesi came through the ranks at AS Roma before joining Sassuolo back in the summer of 2017. He was subject to multiple loan moves in order to gain experience. The Italian international went from strength to strength with every loan experience that he had. And, he has been an important part of their first team for the past two seasons.
Meanwhile, he has taken his game to the next level in the ongoing season. The 23-year-old has featured in a total of 37 matches and has not missed a single Serie A game for the Italian club. Frattesi also has seven league goals to his name.
His performances have attracted a lot of attention of late. Brighton and Manchester United are keen on having him in their ranks. The Seagulls are all set to lose a few of their star midfielders in the summer. Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister are likely to leave the club. And, they will need to fill that void with quality acquisition.

Brighton have already started the work to reinforce their midfield. James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud are expected to join them ahead of next season. Despite the duo’s impending arrival, Roberto De Zerbi wants to add another midfielder to the mix.
The Italian manager is keen on having Frattesi at his disposal. However, Brighton are not the only Premier League keen on signing him. Even Manchester United want to land him at Old Trafford. The 23-year-old is on their radar as their look to further bolster their squad and push for the Premier League title next season.
While Manchester United are a powerhouse and they are serious in the pursuit of the 23-year-old Italian international, Brighton are prepared to overpower the Red Devils with the funds they will acquire from player sales.
