Real Madrid will soon present the opening offer to sign English wonderkid Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid will soon take the next step to bring Jude Bellingham to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Merengues are preparing the first official bid to present to Borussia Dortmund. But they will be respectful to the Black and Yellows amid their battle for the Bundesliga title.

Jude Bellingham has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in the world in the last few years. The English wonderkid rose to prominence after he became a pivotal figure for Birmingham City FC as a 16-year-old. And his stock has skyrocketed since joining Borussia Dortmund nearly three years ago.

The 19-year-old has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga in the last three seasons. And he is enjoying an excellent 2022/23 campaign, amassing 14 goals and seven assists in 42 outings thus far. But Bellingham’s stint with Dortmund will end this summer, with Real Madrid his likely destination.

The outgoing La Liga champions hold a long-standing interest in the teenage wonderkid. But they have always been steadfast in their belief that they will not overpay to sign him. And it looks like that might not be the case, with Real Madrid reportedly closing in on securing Bellingham’s services.

The Merengues want to finalise the deal for the 19-year-old this month. And personal terms will not be a problem, with the two parties already finalising the agreement. The next step for Real Madrid will be to present the opening bid to Borussia Dortmund.

Los Blancos will be respectful to Borussia Dortmund amid the Bundesliga title that should go down the wire. And the first official offer will likely arrive on Dortmund’s table towards the end of the campaign. Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s proposal will include add-ons to sweeten the deal for the Black and Yellows.

Meanwhile, Manchester City might have conceded defeat to Real Madrid after a long battle between the two heavyweights. While the Premier League champions remain keen on signing Bellingham, a summer agreement seems unlikely.
