Crystal Palace and Fulham are ready to rival West Ham United in the hunt for 20-goal Ligue 1 striker Habib Diallo.

According to Football Insider, Premier League trio West Ham United, Fulham, and Crystal Palace are all chasing Habib Diallo. Strasbourg’s 20-goal striker could jump at the chance of joining an English side, with the Ligue 1 side demanding a £20 million fee.

With all the talk in Ligue 1 surrounding Kylian Mbappe, Jonathan David, Alexandre Lacazette and Arsenal star Folarin Balogun, everyone seems to have forgotten the season Habib Diallo is having. The striker is only behind the quartet for goals in the league, finding the back of the net 20 times across all competitions.

At 27, and with a tremendous season personally, the striker remains open to signing for a Premier League side. Plenty of teams in England’s top division are looking for a top-draw centre-forward, with the 20-goal Ligue 1 striker likely to become the solution.

Strasbourg will reportedly accept bids around the £20 million mark, which could suit the Premier League sides. West Ham have been looking for attacking reinforcements, with Diallo on their list of targets. The Hammers could begin the new season without David Moyes at the helm. And with that, they could shake up their frontline.

Michail Antonio could come to the end of his tenure at the club, while Gianluca Scamacca and Danny Ings have not performed to their expected levels. West Ham are keen on Diallo ahead of the summer as they look for a goalscoring option to lead the line.

The 27-year-old also has the attention of Fulham, who are also looking to bring in reinforcements. There’s the future of Aleksandar Mitrovic to contest. But Marco Silva will need a new centre-forward to improve his squad. Investing around £20 million in a 27-year-old prolific star could make sense for the Cottagers.

As things stand, the race for Diallo is only among mid-table sides, and Crystal Palace are not behind in the chase. They plan to bring in a new striker, with Odsonne Edouard and Jean-Philippe Mateta deemed not good enough.

Crystal Palace have seen a revival since the return of Roy Hodgson, who has preferred Jordan Ayew up top. They have been linked with a move for Moussa Dembele. But the idea of Diallo could turn their attention towards the 20-goal Ligue 1 striker.

In all, it does appear that these three clubs could battle it out for Diallo in the upcoming window. Leeds United were also interested earlier, but they could bow out if they suffered relegation from the Premier League this season. With two years left on Diallo’s deal, Strasbourg could sell and will certainly hope for a bidding war for their 20-goal Ligue 1 striker.
