Chelsea are thinking about offloading 22-year-old winger Mykhailo Mudryk just six months after signing him from Shakhtar Donetsk.
According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea are already thinking about offloading Mykhailo Mudryk. The 22-year-old has failed to get the desired number of minutes on the pitch after his big-money transfer to the Blues. And, he could be on the move just six months after joining the English club.
Mudryk came through the ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk and became an integral part of their first team. He made it into their first team in the winter of 2021. And, the Ukraine international was involved in 44 matches and had 29 goal contributions during his time at the club.
His performances for Shakhtar attracted the attention of quite a few clubs from across Europe. And, there was a bidding war for his services at the start of the year. Chelsea somehow managed to get on top and acquired him for €70 million. It was a big money move that saw the 22-year-old join the Blues.
However, he hasn’t managed to settle in both on the pitch and off it. The Ukraine international has been involved in 15 matches and has two assists to his name. Despite the big-money move, he is not a preferred choice at Chelsea. Mudryk has completed 90 minutes just once since joining the Blues. And, it seems the club are already thinking about his future.
While they might have invested a lot in him, they are already thinking of a potential sale of the superstar. They could let him leave just six months after joining them if they receive the right price. While there is interest in his services, they will only sell if they receive a fee close to what they have paid for him.
Meanwhile, they are also considering sending him out on loan in order to provide him with the needed minutes to develop his game. And, Arsenal are keen on having Mudryk in their ranks.
The Gunners were interested in signing him back in January. However, they failed to come out on top against Chelsea. With the Blues thinking about offloading the 22-year-old, Arsenal could once again push for him.
Mikel Arteta is keen on bolstering his squad ahead of next season. The Spanish manager wants to add more firepower to his ranks to be competitive enough in both the Premier League and Champions League. And, Mudryk could surely help their cause.
