According to Football Insider, Arsenal are getting closer than ever to securing the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk in a deal worth around £65 million. The Gunners reportedly submitted a third bid, an improved offer from their previous proposals. The two clubs remain deep in conversations regarding add-ons.

Arsenal are getting closer and closer to securing their priority target Mykhaylo Mudryk this month. Mikel Arteta always wanted a new winger in this window and even ignored calls to sign a replacement striker for the injured Gabriel Jesus.

As things stand, Arsenal are close to agreeing on a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for their priority target. The Gunners have reportedly submitted a third, improved offer to sign the Ukrainian winger — figures of £65 million plus add-ons mentioned in the media.

Various sources have confirmed that Arsenal and Shakhtar remain engaged in advanced discussions. The understanding is that they have so far agreed on the principal amount. The two sides continue to discuss the add-on figures and the structure of the same. The Ukrainian outfit continue to seek a valuation close to the £80 million mark.

As per notable journalists, including Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have submitted an adequate offer. As a final step, they could offer Shakhtar a package close to the £80 million mark. It would make Mudryk their record signing, beating the acquisition of Nicolas Pepe a few years ago.

Many other journalists believe Mudryk will join Arsenal this month, and there is hope for the deal to wrap up in the next few days. The 22-year-old winger has used Instagram regularly to showcase his preference for joining the Gunners. Soon, he might officially wear the Red & White shirt.

Mudryk has already agreed on personal terms with Arsenal, with whom he could sign a five-year deal once the two clubs agree on a fee. He will add quality depth and compete for a starting place with one of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on the wings. Arsenal are  hopeful of concluding a deal at the earliest. The fans would love to have him before they clash with Manchester United next weekend.
