Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 20-year-old Spanish prospect Gabri Veiga from Celta Vigo in a deal worth €30 million.
According to Madrid Xtra, Gabri Veiga remains the subject of interest from Real Madrid. And the outgoing La Liga champions want to pay only €30 million to sign the 20-year-old Celta Vigo prospect. Los Blancos will also send the youngster out on loan if they secure his services in the summer transfer window.
Gabri Veiga has come leaps and bounds during his breakthrough season with Celta Vigo. The Spaniard had made his first-team debut two and a half years ago but took some time to find his feet at Balaidos. But he has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in La Liga this term.
The 20-year-old has amassed nine goals and four assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this term. And Veiga’s progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs. Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona have shown interest in the youngster. But Real Madrid might be his realistic destination in the summer transfer window.
The Merengues have won one trophy this season after beating Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final. But Real Madrid might fail to clinch back-to-back titles in the competitions where they were the reigning champions.
