Manchester United are keen on having 21-year-old American midfielder Taylor Booth in their ranks ahead of next season.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are all set to push for the services of Taylor Booth in the summer. The 21-year-old has been doing a great job in the ongoing season and there are quite a few clubs interested in acquiring his services.

Booth came through the ranks at Bayern Munich but he failed to break into their first team. The American international only had one first-team appearance under his belt when he decided to move on from the club.

Bayern were on extending his stay at the club, but he had other ideas. Booth was keen on having regular first-team minutes, as a result, the 21-year-old moved to Dutch club Utrecht. He has been involved in 29 matches since joining the Dutch club ahead of the ongoing season. He has scored twice and also has three assists to his name.

His exceptional performances for Utrecht resulted in him being handed his first cap for the American national team. Meanwhile, Manchester United are keen on having him in their ranks. Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of the 21-year-old and wants him at Old Trafford ahead of next season.

The American international is a versatile player who can feature in multiple positions. And, he can easily fit into Erik ten Hag’s system at Manchester United. With time on his side, the 21-year-old is likely to go from strength to strength in the next few seasons.

Manchester United are keen on strengthening their midfield ahead of next season. Ten Hag wants to have a solid midfield partner for Casemiro. When he arrived at the club, the Dutch manager was keen on signing Frenkie De Jong. However, the form Ajax player is unlikely to join them having already rejected an opportunity last summer.

Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham are also on their radar. However, the duo will cost them a fortune. As a result, they might shift their focus entirely on Booth. Utrecht have put a price tag of €10 million on the 21-year-old. And, since he is a much cheaper option, United can surely pull this off ahead of next season.
