Mauricio Pochettino has asked Chelsea to sign 24-year-old Alexis Mac Allister.

According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea could push for the signatures of Alexis Mac Allister. Mauricio Pochettino, who is all set to be their new manager ahead of next season wants them to sign a new attacking midfielder. He has asked the club to go all out for the services of the Brighton midfielder.

Mac Allister has been the talk of the town ever since his heroics in the FIFA World Cup 2022. The 24-year-old midfielder played an integral part in Argentina’s triumph on the global stage. The Brighton midfielder has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons and it seems he is ready for a bigger challenge.

The Argentine international has been doing wonders on the pitch for Brighton in the ongoing season. He has been involved in 35 matches and has 14 goal contributions. He has found the back of the net on 12 occasions and also has two assists to his name.

His performances for both club and country have attracted the attention of a lot of top clubs from across Europe. And, despite having a contract with Brighton that runs until the summer of 2025, the 24-year-old is expected to be on the move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea sacked Graham Potter a few weeks back, and they have been on the look for a new manager since. It seems they have found their man as Pochettino is all set to put pen to paper.

While the former Tottenham boss is all set to take charge of the Blues, he has already informed them about the signings they will have to make ahead of next season. Pochettino wants them to add an attacking midfielder to their ranks.

He is keen on having Brighton’s Mac Allister at his disposal. The former Spurs manager wants to have someone who can break down opposing defences with a pass and can also chip in with goals. The 24-year-old will surely bring in a lot of creativity and he can surely help their cause.

While the Blues are keen on having Mac Allister in their ranks, it won’t be easy given the number of clubs that are after his signatures. As are result, it will be interesting to see if the Blues can manage to fulfil the demand of their new manager.
