Real Madrid offer €20 million-a-year deal to Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham has a contract worth €20 million per year from Real Madrid on his table and will reject an offer from Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report by German outlet BILD, Jude Bellingham is ready to reject a contract worth €14 million per year from Borussia Dortmund. Instead, he will likely sign a €20 million-a-year deal offered by Real Madrid. And the proposal from Los Blancos is for a duration of six years.

Jude Bellingham has the world at his feet despite being only 19 years old. The teenage sensation has been a highly sought-after figure in the market since his days at Birmingham City FC. And his stock has skyrocketed since joining Borussia Dortmund nearly three years ago.

The English international is enjoying an excellent 2022/23 season thus far. And he has contributed to 20 goals this season, finding the back of the net 13 times while providing seven assists. But Bellingham’s stint with Borussia Dortmund will end this summer. And he is on the verge of joining Real Madrid ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The Bundesliga giants have offered the player a contract until 2026, worth €14 million per year. But the teenage wonderkid has his heart set on joining Real Madrid. In addition, Los Blancos’ proposal is more lucrative. And they have tabled a six-year deal worth €20 million per season.

The reigning La Liga champions view Bellingham as a long-term successor to Luka Modric. And while the veteran Croat will continue for another season, it is worth noting that he is in the twilight of his career. So Real Madrid’s decision to finalise the deal for Bellingham this month makes a world of sense.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old has snubbed approaches from Manchester City and Liverpool to commit to Real Madrid. And while the two parties have not sealed an agreement over personal terms yet, the €20 million-a-year deal should seal the deal. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will be resigned to losing the English international.

Bellingham’s summer move to Real Madrid is seemingly a formality. And it will be interesting to see if the reigning La Liga champions finalise the deal anytime soon. For now, the teenage sensation is poised to reject a proposal from Borussia Dortmund.
