While he is one of the most important players for the German club, the England international is expected to join a bigger club in the summer. Liverpool are one of the clubs keen on having the 19-year-old in their ranks.

The Merseyside club are looking for a midfield overhaul in the summer and Bellingham was one of their key targets. However, the latest reports suggest that Madrid are close to completing his signing.

Bellingham has been a priority for Los Blancos for a while now and the Spanish giants are close to agreeing personal terms with the player. They have scheduled a meeting with the German club to complete the signing in the coming weeks.

Real Madrid are keen on getting it done as soon as possible. They are well aware of interest in his services from across Europe and do not intend to miss out on him at any cost. Los Blancos consider him a very important signing as they look to replace Luka Modric who is in the twilight of his career.

According to Romano, Real Madrid’s chief scout Juni Calafat has once again played a pivotal role in the transfer. He was the man behind the signing of Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde. And, it seems he might have once again done it for Los Blancos.
