Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to make a move for Ryan Gravenberch, with the Dutch ace considered a key target.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are prioritising a move for Ryan Gravenberch, with the 20-year-old Bayern Munich ace’s future at the Bundesliga club is uncertain. Jurgen Klopp likes the midfielder as the German coach looks to reinforce his central positions in the summer window.

Liverpool have endured a difficult season but remain within a chance of finishing in the top four. Defeats suffered by Newcastle United and Manchester United have opened the doors for Jurgen Klopp’s men to close the points gap and have the form to make a Champions League finish happen.

One of the reasons for their downfall this season has been the failure of their midfield ranks. Seasoned professionals like Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Thiago have underperformed, leading to Klopp making plans to revamp the positions in the summer window.

Liverpool are constantly linked with a new name every week, but some of those links have withstood for a long period. Those are Alexis Mac Allister, who seems close to a move, and Ryan Gravenberch. The 20-year-old has had a difficult first season at Bayern Munich, which could make him consider moving away.

Liverpool have reportedly been working on a deal to sign Gravenberch for some time now. Klopp could urge the club to prioritise a move for the youngster and take advantage of his situation at Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.

Bayern are generally not open to selling him only after a season since signing Gravenberch. Hence, it would take a strong offer from Liverpool to tempt the Bavarians. Moreover, the 20-year-old has featured more consistently since Thomas Tuchel took over, even starting the last game against Werder Bremen.

Yet, with the market likely to move fast, Bayern have to show decisiveness in making their mind up about Gravenberch. The player would want to play more regularly than he has this season, but he will have to evaluate his situation carefully. Whether he gets better game time at Liverpool remains the question, but the Merseysiders will likely approach to sign the 20-year-old.
