Liverpool have been linked with a move for 24-year-old Argentine international midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in recent weeks.

Alexis Mac Allister has been one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League this season, and he recently helped his country win the World Cup. It is no surprise that Liverpool are looking to sign the 24-year-old this summer. According to Fichajes, they are hoping that Brighton midfielder Adam Lallana can help convince the World Cup winner to move to Anfield this summer.

The former Liverpool midfielder is an influential member of the Brighton & Hove Albion dressing room. He has already played a key role in convincing James Milner to move to the Amex Stadium at the end of the season. It remains to be seen whether he can help Liverpool convince Mac Allister to join them now.

Liverpool are set to lose players like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and James Milner as free agents, and they will have to replace those outgoings. The Reds are in desperate need of central midfield reinforcements, and Mac Allister would be a superb addition.

The Brighton midfielder has 11 goals to his name across all competitions, and he will add some much-needed goals and creativity to the side. Liverpool have been quite poor in the midfield this season, and they will have to bring in reinforcements in that department.

Liverpool are thought to be looking at a number of central midfielders. But Mac Allister is reportedly on top of their wish list right now. They were linked with the England international Jude Bellingham as well. But the Reds have had to walk away from the deal because of Dortmund’s outrageous asking price.

Mac Allister has proven his quality at the club level and at the international level. The 24-year-old will be hoping to take the next step in his career, and he will want to join a club capable of winning major trophies. The Merseyside outfit now plan to use Adam Lallana to convince the Argentine to move to Liverpool.

Liverpool have a proven track record of challenging for major honours under Jurgen Klopp, and a move to Anfield would be the ideal next step in his career. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a fee with Brighton after hatching the new ploy and get the deal done this summer.
