Aston Villa have been linked with a summer move for Real Sociedad attacking midfielder Takefusa Kubo, valued at €60 million.
Takefusa Kubo joined Real Sociedad last summer, and he has established himself as a key player for them. The winger has eight goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions, and he could prove to be a sensational long-term investment for Aston Villa. A report from Fichajes claims that Unai Emery is looking to add the youngster to his squad.
Kubo has played at Villarreal under the management of Emery. And the opportunity to reunite with the Spaniard could prove to be a tempting proposition for the young midfielder. The 21-year-old can operate on either flank and as a central attacking midfielder as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for the West Midlands club if they manage to sign him.
Kubo has been linked with a move to Barcelona recently. Aston Villa have done quite well under the new manager, and they will be hoping to challenge for trophies in the coming seasons. However, they have been overly dependent on Ollie Watkins in the attack this season.
So they must look to bring in more goalscorers and creators during the summer transfer window. Kubo will add goals and assists to the side and he is young enough to improve further. Working with a manager like Emery could help him fulfil his potential.
