Chelsea and Manchester United are ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in the race for 24-year-old Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea and Manchester United are leading the race for the signatures of Victor Osimhen. The 24-year-old forward has been on fire in the ongoing season and there are multiple clubs from across Europe who are keen on having him in their ranks.

Even Paris Saint-Germain are interested in acquiring the services of the Napoli forward. But, according to Plettenberg, the French club are behind Chelsea and United in the race.

Osimhen joined the Partenopei back in the summer of 2020 from LOSC Lille. The Nigerian international has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons. And, he has taken his game to the next level in the ongoing season.

The 24-year-old has scored 26 goals and also has five assists in 33 matches in all competitions. He has been integral to their success in the league. Osimhen has scored 21 goals in the Serie A to guide Napoli to the league title.

PSG are all set to revamp their squad in the summer. They are looking to offload quite a few big-name players in the upcoming window and want to land the Nigerian striker at the club. While Osimhen is a priority target for the bosses at the club. PSG are behind Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for the 24-year-old. The Blues’ priority is to sign a new forward in the summer.

They have struggled to score goals of late and want to bring in a world-class forward. The club will look to offload a few of their senior players before pushing for the signatures of the Napoli star. Meanwhile, Manchester United are also looking for a new forward. The future of Anthony Martial is uncertain and Wout Weghorst is all set to return to his parent club in the summer.

As a result, signing a new forward is a must for the Red Devils.  They admire Osimhen and would love to have him in their ranks. However, they also have Randal Kolo Muani on their radar. And, the club are yet to make a decision on whether to push for Kolo Muani or Osimhen.
