Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified Moussa Diaby, a target for Manchester United and Real Madrid, as the priority for the summer.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Moussa Diaby is the priority target for Arsenal for the summer transfer window. The French international is also a target for Real Madrid and Manchester United. Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen will demand £50 million to part ways with the electric winger.
Moussa Diaby is a graduate of the Paris Saint-Germain academy after failing to secure regular game time at Parc des Princes. The 23-year-old joined Bayer Leverkusen in July 2019 and has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga. At the same time, he has broken into the French national team.
The Frenchman has enjoyed a solid 2022/23 season thus far, amassing 14 goals and ten assists in 42 appearances across all competitions thus far. Diaby’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with several high-profile clubs keen on signing him. And Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United are among his prospective suitors.
Real Madrid recently joined the race to sign Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen this summer. And the reigning La Liga champions are in a strong financial position to pay £50 million to secure his services. Meanwhile, the interest in the Bayer Leverkusen winger is understandable, considering Eden Hazard faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As for Manchester United, the Red Devils want to bolster their offensive unit in the summer transfer window. Antony has not been consistent enough, while Jadon Sancho has failed to make his mark since arriving from Borussia Dortmund. So it behoves Manchester United to scour the market for a wide attacker. And Diaby is a viable target for the Premier League heavyweights.
Meanwhile, recent reports have pointed to Arsenal being one of the front-runners to sign Diaby. And Mikel Arteta has identified the 23-year-old as the priority target for the summer transfer window. The interest in the player is understandable, considering Arteta will need to rotate his troops next season.

Arsenal should be able to afford the price tag, worth £50 million, to sign the French international. But it will be interesting to see if the Gunners beat Real Madrid and Manchester United to his signature. For now, a summer departure might be on the cards for the Bayer Leverkusen winger.
