Real Madrid are ready to go all out to acquire the services of 23-year-old Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez.
According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid are willing to go all out to acquire the services of Julian Alvarez. The 23-year-old has been in great form in the ongoing season, and Los Blancos have identified him as a key transfer target heading into the summer window.
Alvarez came through the ranks at River Plate before joining Manchester City in the winter of 2022. While he penned down a deal with the English club in the winter, he remained at the Argentine club on a six-month loan and then made the move to England ahead of the ongoing season.
The 23-year-old was exceptional at the FIFA World Cup 2022. He was a key player for the South American team as they became World Champions. While he might not be the first-choice striker at City in the presence of Erling Haaland, Alvarez has still managed to impress one and all.
He has been on the pitch for just over 2,000 minutes in his 42 appearances. The Argentine international has found the back of the net on 15 occasions and also has five assists to his name. His impressive performances have attracted the attention of Real Madrid.
Signing a new striker is one of the priorities for Real Madrid heading into the upcoming transfer window. They are looking for a potential Karim Benzema replacement. The Frenchman has been key to their success over the years but is in the twilight of his career.
And, finding a replacement for the 35-year-old is one of their priorities. They believe Alvarez is of a similar profile and given his impact for both club and country. So Real Madrid are ready to go the distance for his services.
However, signing the 23-year-old won’t be an easy task as Manchester City are in no mood to let him leave. And, he has a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2028. Despite it being a very difficult task Real Madrid are not ready to take the back seat and will push for his services in the summer. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land the Argentine international.
