Real Madrid will reportedly compete with Manchester United to secure the services of 23-year-old French winger Moussa Diaby.
According to a report by Fichajes, Moussa Diaby is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti views the 23-year-old as a potential backup for Vinicius Junior. Meanwhile, the Bayer Leverkusen winger, whose market value is €50 million, is also a target for Manchester United.
Moussa Diaby has come leaps and bounds since joining Bayer Leverkusen in July 2019. The French winger is a graduate of the Paris Saint-Germain youth division. And while he won a Ligue 1 title with PSG, he rose to prominence after departing from Parc des Princes. And he has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed another solid season with Bayer Leverkusen, particularly under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso. And he has a solid tally of 14 goals and ten assists in 42 appearances thus far this term. Diaby’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid and Manchester United among his prospective suitors.
At Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti views Diaby as a potential backup to Vinicius Junior. But seeing as the Frenchman thrives on the right flank, he can compete with Rodrygo Goes for the spot. That said, Marco Asensio will also be a candidate for the position, considering he will soon sign a new deal with Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, Diaby is a viable target for Real Madrid. And with his market value at €50 million, he might not cost a bomb either. But the reigning La Liga champions face stiff competition from Manchester United in the race to sign the 23-year-old French winger.
At Manchester United, Jadon Sancho and Antony have blown hot and cold this season. So Erik ten Hag wants to recruit a wide attacker who can elevate the levels in the final third. Moussa Diaby has thus emerged as a viable target for Manchester United.
