Barcelona and Real Madrid will face stiff competition from Bayern Munich for French striker Randal Kolo Muani.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Randal Kolo Muani is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are ready to shell out €70 million to sign the French striker. Meanwhile, the Eintracht Frankfurt attacker is also a target for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Randal Kolo Muani passed through the academies of four French clubs before making his first-team debut for FC Nantes. But he has risen to prominence since joining Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. And 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga this season.

The French striker was also part of Les Bleus’ squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, he has an excellent record of 20 goals and 14 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this term. And Kolo Muani’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich interested in him.

Real Madrid recently joined the race to sign Kolo Muani, with the process accelerating due to Karim Benzema’s fitness woes this term. The veteran French striker has endured injury troubles throughout the season. And with Benzema approaching the end of his glittering career, Real Madrid must invest in a young striker. The Eintracht Frankfurt striker is thus a viable target.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will look to lay down a succession plan for Robert Lewandowski despite only signing him last summer. That is because the Polish international is well into his thirties. Several strikers, including Kaua Elias, have thus emerged on Barcelona’s radar. And Kolo Muani is also an option worth considering, although his high asking price might rule them out of the chase.

As for Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions are ready to fork out €70 million to sign the 20-goal striker. And the interest in Kolo Muani stems from their inability to replace Lewandowski last summer. So Barcelona, Bayern Munich will look to identify a successor to the 34-year-old. And the Eintracht Frankfurt attacker is an attractive option.

Bayern Munich might be the leading contender to sign Kolo Muani, considering he will get more game time at the Allianz Arena than at Real Madrid and Barcelona. But it will be interesting to see if Eintracht Frankfurt will accept a bid worth €70 million to part ways with the 24-year-old.
