Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham must pay £50 million for Joao Palhinha

Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will have to pay over £50 million to acquire the services of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Joao Palhinha ahead of next season. The 27-year-old has done wonders in his very first season in the Premier League. And a lot of clubs are interested in acquiring his services. Meanwhile, Fulham will accept a bid of over £50 million for Portugal international.

Palhinha came through the ranks at Sporting CP before joining Fulham ahead of the ongoing season. The Cottagers paid around £20 million to acquire the 27-year-old’s services from the Portuguese club. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the London club.

His performances have resulted in a lot of attention in his services. Fulham are well aware of the situation, and they are willing to accept an offer of over £50 million for the 27-year-old. Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are in the race for his signatures.

The Blues have spent a fortune on signing young talented players from across Europe over the last few transfer windows. But, the results on the pitch have not improved. They are all set to offload quite a few players in the summer before pushing for the services of the 27-year-old.

Chelsea are impressed with what they have seen from the Portugal international and are willing to bid for him in the upcoming transfer window. Meanwhile, Manchester United are also keen on having Palhinha in their ranks. Erik ten Hag wants more quality in the centre of the park ahead of next season.

Manchester United will be offloading a few of their midfielders in the summer to make room for new ones. The Dutch manager believes the Fulham midfielder could help them take the next and is willing to go big on him. However, both Chelsea and Manchester United will face competition from Tottenham.

The London club might be without a manager. But they have already started planning for the upcoming window. Spurs want an upgrade in the centre of the park. And, they believe the Portugal international could help them end their trophy drought. All three clubs are well capable of paying over £50 million for Palhinha. As a result, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
