According to The Times via Fichajes, Jude Bellingham wishes to join Liverpool over other suitors. The 11-goal star has reportedly expressed his desire to Borussia Dortmund in a move that may get the Reds back on the table after they had cooled their interest.
The Jude Bellingham to Liverpool stories refuses to die away despite some of the most prominent media outlets declaring an end to the chase. The Reds have been keen on the Borussia Dortmund star for a long time, and it was believed the player was open to a move.
However, finances have a large part to play in the chase, with Dortmund likely to demand upto €150 million for the England international. The 11-goal star has shone this season in Germany, strengthening their stance over the huge asking price.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly suggested the club does not boast deep pockets like some rivals. Hence, they must intricately plan all their transfer activities to fit their budget. That remains the case for next summer when the Reds seek several midfielders alongside defenders.
While Klopp likes Bellingham, he will only spend a small chunk of his budget on a single player. Since Liverpool cooled their interest in the Dortmund star, they have planned to sign multiple midfielders for next summer.
Alexis Mac Allister remains one of their targets alongside Frenkie de Jong, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes. Other names are also on their list, including Bellingham, but any transfer will hinge on Klopp’s final decision on their strategy.

Real Madrid and Manchester City also remain interested in Bellingham. For starters, it is understood that the England international midfielder will certainly depart Dortmund but might continue pushing to find ways to join Liverpool.
For now, Liverpool may not open their cheque books towards paying a huge fee for one player. They will stick with their plans of using that money to sign multiple players, but they could return to the table for Bellingham if an opportunity arrives.
