Chelsea signed Kalidou Koulibaly at the start of the season from Napoli, and Serie A giants Juventus want him in the summer.

Kalidou Koulibaly has not been at his best since his move to England, and he has struggled to hit top form. A report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Juventus are now keen on providing him with an exit route out of Chelsea.

Apparently, the Serie A giants are keen on signing Kalidou Koulibaly, and they are ready to get the deal done at the end of the season. Chelsea could be keen when it comes to cashing in on their fringe players and investing in top-quality stars.

The opportunity to get rid of Koulibaly and invest in a quality player could be an attractive option for the Blues. The Senegal international played his best football in Serie A with Napoli, and the opportunity to return to Italy could be an attractive option for him.

There is no doubt that Koulibaly is a quality defender, and he has provem his worth in Italian football over the years. A move back to his comfort zone could help him recapture his form and confidence once again.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will need to bring in adequate replacements. The Blues are in need of defensive reinforcements, and they will have to compensate for the departure of the Senegal international. They are also keen on keeping Levi Colwill amid interest from several top clubs.

Thiago Silva is also in his twilight years, and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in a talented young defender in the summer. Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market under the new owners and they have spent in excess of £600 million over the last couple of transfer windows.

They will need to balance the books now and adhere to the financial fair play regulations. Getting rid of Koulibaly will not only boost their transfer coffers, it would also free up their wage bill. With players like N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount linked with moves away from the club because of their contract situations, it could help Chelsea tie down some of the key players to new contracts.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few months. Meanwhile, Juventus will be hoping to get back to challenging for the title next year, and they will be hoping that players like Koulibaly can help them return to their best.
