Chelsea are interested in signing Brazilian forward Vitor Roque but are struggling with financial issues right now.

According to a report from Football Insider, Chelsea have spent in excess of £600 million under their new owners. So they might not be able to afford Brazilian sensation Vitor Roque without adequate sales this summer. Athletico Paranaense will demand £35-40 million to part ways with the youngster.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can get rid of the deadwood and bring in the 18-year-old striker at the end of the season. The Blues are massive admirers of the youngster, and they submitted a bid to sign the player in January. However, the move collapsed in the end, and Chelsea are looking to reignite their interest in the player at the end of the season.

The opportunity to play for a big club like Chelsea will be an attractive proposition for the youngster, and he is likely to be tempted to join them. However, Chelsea will have to balance the books before they can spend money on another player.

Apparently, the striker will cost around £35-40 million this summer. Chelsea will have to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations. And it remains to be seen whether they can raise substantial funds through sales now.

The Blues have excellent contacts in South America after signing Andre Santos and Kendry Paez. They will be hoping that those connections can help them secure the services of Roque in the summer. The 18-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him. He is regarded as one of the biggest talents to have come out of South America in recent years.

It is no secret that Chelsea need to bring in attacking reinforcements, and the 18-year-old would be a solid, long-term investment for them. While the Brazilian will need some time to adapt to English football, he could be an important first-team player for Chelsea.

The player has been linked with clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona as well. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can fend off the competition and secure his services. Roque has been in impressive form the season, scoring five goals in 10 appearances for Athletico Paranaense. He has also earned his first call-up to the Brazilian national team and made his debut last month against Morocco.
