Aston Villa have revived their interest in acquiring the services of 22-year-old Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal want to sign Emile Smith Rowe. The 22-year-old midfielder has fallen down in the pecking order at the Gunners and is likely to be on the move in the summer. And, Villa are set to revive their interest in his services ahead of next season.

Smith Rowe has been a part of Arsenal since his childhood days. The attacking midfielder has gone up the ranks at the club and has been subject to multiple loan moves to gain first-team experience. While the 22-year-old has been a part of their first team for years now, he has fallen down the pecking order in the ongoing season.

The England Under-21 star has hardly featured in the current campaign for Arsenal. The Gunners have had a sensational season so far and are currently leading the league title race. And, they are all set to return to the UEFA Champions League next season.

But, the 22-year-old has hardly played a part in Arsenal’s success. He has been involved in 11 first-team games this season and has been on the pitch for just over 150 minutes. And, his lack of minutes in the ongoing season suggests that Smith Rowe could be on the move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are interested in acquiring his services. They tried signing him back in the summer of 2021. But the Gunners rejected a reported £30 million bid for the 22-year-old.

Unai Emery has done wonders since taking charge at Villa Park. He has completely turned around the fortunes of the club. So they are all set to back him in the summer transfer window. And, the Spanish manager is keen on reuniting with the Arsenal attacking midfielder next season.

Emery was the one who handed Smith Rowe his Arsenal debut as a teenager. And, he is keen on a reunion with the 22-year-old at Villa Park. The Aston Villa boss believes the Englishman could help his team take the next season. As a result, they are all set to push for his signature in the upcoming transfer window.
