Real Madrid and Liverpool will reportedly need to fork out €60 million to sign French international midfielder Khephren Thuram this summer.

According to a report by French outlet Foot Mercato, Real Madrid and Liverpool are keen on signing Khephren Thuram. But OGC Nice will demand a premium to part ways with the recently-debuted French international. And the youngster will cost around €60 million in the summer transfer window.

Khephren Thuram has come leaps and bounds since joining OGC Nice from AS Monaco in June 2019. The 22-year-old is the son of legendary former French footballer Lilian Thuram and Marcus Thuram’s brother. So he has high standards to uphold in the coming decade and more.

The youngster recently debuted for the French national side and is enjoying a solid 2022/23 season. He has chipped in with two goals and eight assists in 42 outings thus far. And Thuram’s progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Real Madrid recently rekindled the interest in the Frenchman as they scour the market for a long-term midfield solution. That is because Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are in the twilight of their storied careers. In addition, Eduardo Camavinga has reinvented himself as a left-back. The OGC Nice midfielder has thus emerged as a viable target.

On the other hand, Liverpool will overhaul the midfield unit in the summer transfer window. Jurgen Klopp’s next project will begin when players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita leave Liverpool as free agents. In addition, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have regressed considerably. The Reds have thus set their sights on Khephren Thuram.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old has seen his price tag soar amid an excellent 2022/23 season. And the report claims that OGC Nice will demand €60 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window. That might not trouble either Real Madrid or Liverpool.
