Chelsea could propose a monumental financial package to prise Barcelona prodigy Gavi to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
According to AS, Chelsea are seriously considering making a move for Gavi and are ready to offer him a bumper financial package. The teenager’s future remains unchanged following his contractual situation with Barcelona, where he prefers to stay.
Barcelona’s financial problems have gripped them hard and continue to pose problems for the club’s plans in the transfer market. While earlier, those issues were seen as a hindrance for buying new players in the summer; now it has crept into their current playing squad.
Barcelona need to free up a significant sum in wages before they can make any signings. While they continue to consider the futures of several stars like Raphinha and Ansu Fati, they might lose prodigious talent Gavi on a free transfer.
