RB Leipzig among five clubs keen on Folarin Balogun

Folarin Balogun has been linked with a summer move away from Arsenal, with RB Leipzig among five clubs interested.

Folarin Balogun is currently on loan at French club Reims, and he has 19 goals across all competitions. The highly-talented young striker has attracted the attention of a number of European heavyweights with his performances. And a report from The Athletic claims that RB Leipzig are hoping to sign the Arsenal striker along with four other Champions League regulars.

The youngster needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. And it will be interesting to see if Arsenal are prepared to provide him with first-team assurances. The highly-talented striker, who has scored 19 goals across all competitions this season, cannot afford to sit on the bench every week.

The report from The Athletic claims that AC Milan, Inter Milan, Marseille and AS Monaco are in pursuit of the talented young striker, and they can offer him a starting berth. Meanwhile, Balogun is open to the idea of leaving Arsenal, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

RB Leipzig are set to lose Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea in the summer, and Balogun could be his replacement at the German club. Arsenal certainly need to add more depth to their attack. But they will not be able to provide the 21-year-old with regular first-team action ahead of Gabriel Jesus.

Balogun has certainly proven himself at a top league, and he deserves to play every week. A move away from Arsenal seems ideal for the player at this stage. It will be interesting to see if the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Marseille, Monaco and RB Leipzig are prepared to pay the asking price for the player.

The 19-goal striker has just over two years left on his current contract, and Arsenal could demand a premium for him given his performances in Ligue 1 this season. The 21-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him, and he has the potential to develop into a reliable goal scorer at the top European league.
