Real Madrid and Manchester City have their eyes set on the 17-year-old Argentine wonderkid Claudio Echeverri.

According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in signing Claudio Echeverri. The 17-year-old has been the talk of the town of late. And his impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention, with several big clubs expected to push for his signature in the summer.

The Argentina Under-17 star is doing wonders in a South American Under-17 tournament currently being played in Ecuador. The River Plate star has featured in three matches and has three goals as well as three assists to his name.

Echeverri is currently a part of the River Plate youth academy. He has gone from strength to strength while playing for the Argentine club. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed one and all with his consistent performances. And, there are quite a few clubs eager to land the teenage sensation.

His contract with River Plate runs until the winter of 2025. However, he is expected to part ways with the club, given the amount of interest in his services. The 17-year-old is on the radar of two of the biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Both the teams have been scouting him of late and will look to sign him ahead of next season. Meanwhile, Los Blancos are actively searching for promising young talents from South American football, with the goal of creating a highly competitive team in the present and future.

Florentino Perez wants to land the Argentina under-17 star as he is impressed with the teenager’s technical skills and ability to impact the game in various situations. And, the Real Madrid president will push for his signature in the summer.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will face competition from Manchester City, who are also keen on the 17-year-old Argentine wonderkid. Pep Guardiola’s men are keeping a watchful eye on the emerging talents in Argentine football, which is evident from their recent signings of players like Julian Alvarez and Maximo Perrone.
