Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from Chelsea at the end of the season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Chelsea at the start of the campaign. But things have not gone according to plan for him. A report from the Spanish publication SPORT claims that Barcelona are keen to bring him back to the club, but they will face competition from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Aubameyang has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea, and he is no longer a key player for Graham Potter. He needs to leave the club to play regularly, and it remains to be seen whether Barcelona can secure his services.

Apparently, Chelsea are unhappy with the player’s conduct, and they could deny him a move to Barcelona at the end of the season. Inter Milan are looking to bring in a striker at the end of the season. and they are hoping to sign the former Arsenal star in the summer.

Aubameyang has not been able to hit top form since returning to the Premier League, and he needs a fresh start to get his career back on track. A move to Italy could be ideal for the player at this stage of his career. The low intensity of Serie A football could suit him.

Inter Milan currently have Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on loan, and the Belgian is set to return to his parent club at the end of the season, although he will unlikely stay put for long. Meanwhile, the Serie A giants will be left with Lautaro Martinez as the only striker, and they will need to bring in more options during the summer transfer window.

Aubameyang could be the ideal partner for the Argentine international next season. Although the Gabon international is in the twilight of his career, he could prove to be a useful addition in the short term.

Aubameyang has proven himself at the highest level with multiple clubs, and he has the ability to succeed for Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Chelsea will be left with Armando Broja as the only striker after the departure of Aubameyang. And it will be interesting to see if the Blues can bring in a quality replacement.
