Barcelona do not want to sell Ez Abde

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Abde Ezzalzouli, but Barcelona are not keen on selling him at the end of the season.

Abde Ezzalzouli is currently on loan at Osasuna, and he has impressed with regular first-team football with the Spanish outfit. The talented winger has three goals and two assists to his name across all competitions and will be hoping to establish himself as an important first-team player at Barcelona in the coming seasons.

As per Fichajes, his performances have caught the attention of a number of clubs, such as Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Real Betis. Barcelona we will have to make a decision on the winger’s future at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will want to play regular first-team football. But Barcelona might not be able to provide him with that platform. It will not be surprising if the Moroccan international decides to leave the Spanish club at the end of the season in search of regular first-team action. However, a move to Chelsea would not be beneficial to him either.

The Blues signed Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke during the January transfer window. And the two players will be ahead of the 21-year-old in the pecking order. Abde is unlikely to get regular game time at Stamford Bridge. So he should look to join a club where he will get ample first-team opportunities.

The 21-year-old cannot afford to sit on the bench at a big club at this stage of his career. He is a player with immense potential and it would affect his development negatively.

Barcelona are hoping to hold on to the player beyond this season. But it seems that the ideal move would be to loan the player out for another season so that he can continue his development with regular football elsewhere.

Meanwhile, it would be quite surprising if Chelsea decided to invest big money in another winger at the end of the season. They already have a number of options at their disposal and must look to bring in a reliable goalscorer during the summer transfer window.
