Manchester United are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of 26-year-old Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are keen on having Moussa Dembele in their ranks. The Red Devils are looking to add reinforcements to their attack in the summer. And, they are interested in signing the 26-year-old Lyon forward.

Dembele joined Lyon back in the summer of 2018 from Celtic. He also had a six-month-long loan stint at Atletico Madrid after spending a few years at the French club. The 26-year-old has featured in a total of 169 matches for the Ligue 1 side and has 89 goal contributions to his name. He has done a decent job at the club over the years.

And, as far as the ongoing season goes he has four goal involvements in 25 appearances. These numbers do not tell the entire story as Dembele has been on the pitch for just over 1,000 minutes.

Meanwhile, the former Celtic striker’s contract at the club ends in the summer. While the club wanted to extend his stay, Dembele has made it clear that he is not interested in signing a new deal.

The 26-year-old French international will be a free agent in a few months and will decide his future during the summer transfer window. He is looking to take the next step in his career by joining a bigger club.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are interested in having the services of the Lyon striker. The Red Devils are keen on adding reinforcements to their attack. Erik ten Hag, who has done wonders since arriving at the club, is looking to add more firepower to his ranks.

The Dutch manager has done a great job since arriving in the summer. But, he is well aware of the fact that they need a few new forwards to challenge for major trophies next season. With Anthony Martial likely to be sold in the summer, it is quite understandable why they are pushing for Dembele.

Erik ten Hag is keen on having the 26-year-old in his ranks. He believes Dembele can be a key part of his offensive rotation. And, he will not have a problem being used as a substitute. Even if Manchester United do sign the French international in the summer, they will still push for a star striker in the summer, with Harry Kane on their radar.
