Serie A giants Juventus are set to battle it out with Barcelona for the services of Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

The Serie A giants are all set to compete with Barcelona for the signature of the 32-year-old midfielder. Gundogan is among the best midfielders in the Premier League, and a lot of clubs have their eyes set on him.
The 32-year-old’s current contract ends in the summer of 2023. He is all set to become a free agent in a few months’ time. And, at this point in time, there are no talks of a potential extension. With Gundogan likely to be available for free in a couple of months’ time, the amount of interest in him is understandable.
The German international joined Manchester City back in the summer of 2016 from Borussia Dortmund. The 32-year-old has gone from strength to strength during his time at the club. At this point in time, Gundogan is amongst their most important players and is the leader of their team.
The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder has featured in 290 matches for City. He has found the back of the net on 53 occasions and has 37 assists to his name. While Gundogan is on the wrong side of 30, he is still at the top of his game.
The 32-year-old has been involved in 37 matches in the ongoing season and has eight goal involvements. He has been the mainstay in their midfield. And, Gundogan is dictating the pace of the game and dominating the ball. He still has a few more years left in him and Barcelona and Juventus have him on their transfer list.
Gundogan is a versatile player and a leader of the men. As a result, he will surely be a great addition to the team that he joins. More importantly, the 32-year-old will be available for free in the summer which will help the cause of Barcelona and Juventus.
