Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for Eden Hazard, with Real Madrid willing to entertain offers for the Belgian.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal could move for Eden Hazard in the summer. Mikel Arteta reportedly feels he could help the Belgian get back to his best. Real Madrid are willing to entertain offers for the former Premier League winner.

Eden Hazard described his move to Real Madrid as a ‘dream’ while leaving Chelsea after a successful spell. At Stamford Bridge, he won the Europa League, Premier League and other domestic titles. He might have left Chelsea in his prime but never hit the ground running at the Bernabeu.

Injuries and a loss in form has mired his time at Real Madrid. While Carlo Ancelotti used him sporadically last season when he could find fitness, the Italian boss has completely sidelined the Belgian from his plans during the current campaign.

Amid links of a return to the Premier League, Real Madrid were reportedly open to selling him to Chelsea or any other club in January. Other clubs were looking at the Belgian international during the window despite a disappointing World Cup in Qatar.

Arsenal are currently linked with a summer move, with the report speculating Mikel Arteta might have asked the board to make it happen. The Gunners were reportedly linked with a move in January as they searched for a left winger to bolster their squad.

After failing to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal signed Leandro Trossard, who has become an instant hit at the Emirates. Against Fulham, he became the first player in Premier League history to record a hat-trick of assists in the first half of an away game.

Hazard may not have a future at Real Madrid beyond the current season. The Spanish giants are seemingly tired of the former Premier League winner’s constant injuries and loss in form. They are paying massive wages to the Belgian and want that off their books.

Hazard remains open to possibilities and may think about returning to England. He could remain open to the prospect of playing for Arsenal, who are reportedly open if the deal does not become expensive. Real Madrid are open to entertaining offers, but the attacker could remain there if no move materialises.

It’s challenging to see Arteta sanctioning such a move. For one, Hazard is not a player they consider the right profile at Arsenal for his age and playing style. Secondly, the attacker has shown he’s well past his prime and may not have the physical prowess to make it in the Premier League.
