Alexis Mac Allister ready to leave Brighton & Hove Albion

Alexis Mac Allister wants to part ways with Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of next season amid interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

According to a report by 90min, Alexis Mac Allister no longer wants to be a part of Brighton & Hove Albion next season. The World Cup winner is likely to part ways with the Seagulls and take the next step in his career. He has been performing at an exceptional level of late and some of the biggest clubs in the world, like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham, are keen on having him.

Mac Allister joined the Premier League club back in the winter of 2019. Initially, he went out on loan to gain some first-team experience. After returning from multiple loan moves, the 24-year-old got an extended run in the Seagulls’ first team, and he managed to impress.

The Argentine international has been a first-team regular for Brighton over the past few seasons. He has done a great job in the centre of the park. The 24-year-old has ten goal contributions in his 24 outings in the ongoing season.

He came into the limelight after an impressive run in the FIFA World Cup 2022 while playing for Argentina. The Brighton midfielder played a major role in helping La Albiceleste lift the ultimate prize in world football.

Mac Allister signed a new contract with Brighton before heading into the World Cup. And, his new contract ends in the summer of 2025 with the club having the option to extend it by 12 months. However, he might still leave in the summer given the amount of interest in his services.

Meanwhile, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are all interested in having the 24-year-old in their ranks. And, they have received a major boost in their pursuit. As the report suggests, the player is eager to take the next step in his career.

Liverpool have not been at their best in the ongoing season. Their struggles have been down to an underperforming midfield which needs reinforcements. Jurgen Klopp is looking for a midfield overhaul and would love to have the Brighton midfielder in his ranks.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, who have signed a lot of players in the last two transfer windows, will look for further reinforcement in the summer. However, they will first look to offload a few players before signing new ones. Graham Potter’s team are keen on the 24-year-old. They are well aware of the impact he can have on the team.

Tottenham, who have once again failed to clinch a major trophy in the ongoing season, are expected to build a new project under a new boss in the next season. Spurs will look for reinforcement in the summer and they want to sign a few new midfielders. Mac Allister is a part of their potential transfer targets. And, the Tottenham are willing to go big on him.

A lot of clubs are keen on the 24-year-old. And, it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing in the next season.
