Manchester United will reportedly look to sign Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in a deal worth €130 million this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Eduardo Camavinga is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are ready to offer €130 million to sign the Real Madrid midfielder. But Los Blancos will not entertain any offers for the French midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Eduardo Camavinga began his youth career at Drapeau-Fougeres before joining Stade Rennais in 2013. He subsequently progressed through the ranks at the French club before making his first-team debut as a teenage prodigy. And the 20-year-old invariably became a hot property in the market before Real Madrid snapped him up in August 2021.

Since then, the French midfielder has made considerable progress without being a regular for Real Madrid. The youngster has two goals and three assists in 79 appearances thus far for Real Madrid. And Camavinga’s stock remains high, with Manchester United reportedly keen on signing him.

Manchester United will delve into the market for a midfield reinforcement despite signing two midfielders last summer. But Christian Eriksen is on the wrong side of 30 and does not have the endurance for a long season. In addition, Scott McTominay faces an uncertain future, and Marcel Sabitzer will return to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Recent reports have claimed that Manchester United might look to sign Sabitzer permanently this summer. But the Red Devils are keeping their options open, especially after last year’s Frenkie de Jong debacle. Interestingly, de Jong also remains a target for Manchester United. But Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has emerged as another option.

The 20-year-old was a target for several Premier League clubs in the January transfer window. But Real Madrid did not entertain any offers for the youngster this past winter. Manchester United will now look to test Real Madrid’s resolve with a bid worth €130 million this summer.

€130 million is a sizable sum and can turn any club’s head. But Real Madrid will not part ways with Camavinga in the summer transfer window. The Frenchman has only been at the Santiago Bernabeu for two years and will unlikely look to leave. So Manchester United will have to identify an alternative to the youngster this summer.
