Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing 30-year-old Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.

According to a report from talkSPORT, Wilfried Zaha is set to move on as a free agent in the summer. And Arsenal and Chelsea are hoping to secure the services of the 30-year-old attacker and keep him in the Premier League.

Zaha has firmly established himself as one of the most potent attackers in the Premier League. And he could prove to be a useful squad option for Arsenal and Chelsea in the coming seasons. Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer could prove to be a wise decision. So the interest in the experienced attacker makes sense.

The 30-year-old is well-settled in the Premier League and could make an immediate impact.  Zaha has six goals and three assists to his name across all competitions. And his ability to slot into multiple roles would make him an asset for Arsenal and Chelsea.

Both Premier League clubs need to add more depth to their attack. And signing Zaha on a free transfer could sort out their attacking unit for the foreseeable future. The former Manchester United winger can play on either flank and he is good enough to lead the line as well.

His contract at Crystal Palace comes to an end on June 30 this year. And he is unlikely to renew his deal with them. Zaha has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park in the past as well. But the Ivory Coast international has not managed to secure an exit from Crystal Palace so far.

He will feel that this is the right opportunity for him to make a step up in his career and will be hoping to join a club that can help him win trophies. Arsenal are well placed to win the Premier League title this season and will be an attractive destination for players during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been spending a lot of money in the transfer market and will hope to challenge for the league title next season. A move to Arsenal or Chelsea would be a major step up in Zaha’s career. And it remains to be seen where the 30-year-old ends up eventually.
